Anti-bullying - Sunshine & Savannah

The first two weeks of inquiry learning in Room 10 have been devoted to 'Passion Projects.' Our challenge was to identify something we were passionate about that connected with our term 3 topic of Healthy Bodies, Strong Minds. Savannah and Sunshine have done an exemplary job creating a role play about bullying. NZ has one of the worse rates of reported bullying around the developed world. Here at HNI we are just beginning a revolution to stamp this out and no longer tolerate what has become a societal norm. People are bullied for a multitude of reasons - gender, ethnicity, hair colour, body image and sometimes for no apparent reason at all. What do you think about bullying? Have you ever been bullied? How does the victim stand up to the bully and what strategies are powerful? Watch this short clip to ponder these questions in more detail. Well done Savannah and Sunshine - you are always engaged and motivated learners within Rm 10!
