In Room 12 maths have been learning about co-ordinates, reading maps, compass bearings, directions and using an atlas.
On Tuesday afternoon we had the opportunity to partake in orienteering with the Hawkes Bay Orienteering club. They set up two courses around the school.
The first course was the easiest and all students completed this without an issue.
The second course was a bit more complicated and challenged many students with reading maps and following the directions.
We had a fantastic time doing this. Thank you to Mrs Hilton and Mrs Stephenson for giving us the opportunity to be a part of the orienteering day.
