The Bug Man

This morning we had an early assembly with the Bug Man who taught us all about bugs and their importance in our world. We learnt that there are 1 million insects that have been discovered by scientists but they believe there are between another 12-30 million undiscovered insects still in our world.  We heard about the role of honey bees and their importance in our food chain.  He explained how the life cycle of almost everything is dependent on insects.

Why don't we eat bugs? This got every one talking.

Look after the bugs you will realise that you are building up a whole ecological system.
